Giusti Expo’s Hommage Limited Edition

Three Historic Balsamic Reserves · Gold, Silver & Bronze · 3 × 100 ml · Modena, Italy

A piece of Italian gastronomic history, preserved in three bottles.

Created in homage to Giuseppe Giusti’s celebrated appearances at the great Universal Expositions of the Belle Époque, Expo’s Hommage is one of the most extraordinary presentations to emerge from the historic Giusti acetaia in Modena.

Inside its elegant leather presentation case are three exceptionally rare reserves — Gold, Silver and Bronze — selected from among the oldest and most treasured casks of the Giusti family collection.

This is balsamic elevated beyond condiment to connoisseurship.

Four Centuries of Modenese Heritage

The Giusti family’s history in Modena can be traced to 1605. Over successive generations, the family assembled and maintained an extraordinary collection of wooden casks, some of which have remained active for centuries.

During the late nineteenth century, Pietro and Giuseppe Giusti carried their balsamic vinegars beyond Modena to the great exhibitions of Europe, including Paris, Vienna, Brussels and Antwerp. Their reserves earned medals and international recognition, establishing Giusti as one of the defining names in the history of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.

Expo’s Hommage was conceived as a tribute to that remarkable era.

The Three Reserves

The collection presents three distinct expressions:

GOLD · SILVER · BRONZE

Each offers a different perspective on the depth, concentration and aromatic complexity achieved through Giusti’s historic cask heritage.

Expect an extraordinary balance between sweetness and acidity, layered with impressions of mature fruit, precious woods and the deep, lingering complexity for which Giusti’s oldest reserves are prized.

These are not balsamics intended to disappear into a recipe.

They are meant to be tasted deliberately — a few drops at a time.

A Ritual of Tasting

The presentation becomes almost ceremonial.

Alongside the three 100 ml reserves, the case contains reproductions of traditional tools associated with the ancient art of the acetaia, handcrafted in glass and porcelain, including a flask, pipette, candle and tasting spoon.

Everything invites the owner to slow down and experience balsamic as generations of Modenese families understood it: as something precious.

How We Would Serve It

Use sparingly and always as a finishing touch.

A few drops can transform:

  • 30- or 36-month Parmigiano Reggiano
  • Beef carpaccio or tartare
  • A perfectly grilled steak
  • Oysters and raw seafood
  • Fresh figs, strawberries or ripe stone fruit
  • Risotto or filled pasta
  • Vanilla gelato
  • Panna cotta
  • Dark chocolate

Or enjoy a few drops entirely on their own after dinner, allowing the warmth and extraordinary aromatic persistence of the reserve to unfold slowly.

The Lello Perspective

There are pantry staples, there are luxuries, and then there are objects that tell a story.

Giusti Expo’s Hommage belongs to the last category.

It represents centuries of family stewardship, the extraordinary culture of the Modenese acetaia and a moment when Italian craftsmanship was presented to the world at the great exhibitions of nineteenth-century Europe.

For the collector, the serious cook or the person for whom an ordinary luxury gift simply will not do, this is an unforgettable piece.

Extremely limited availability.
